This video showcases the diverse animation artwork created by our high school ESL students from 2025 to 2026. Our students are recent immigrants and citizens from around the world—including China, South America, Europe, Africa, and the United States. As English language learners from varied socioeconomic backgrounds and with diverse learning needs, they bring rich perspectives to their creative work. Each student draws on their own life experiences, imagination, and media references to craft engaging, authentic stories.

Our animation process is hands-on and scaffolded: students begin by drafting storyboards, move into digital drawing, and then animate their work using industry-standard software. Beginner and intermediate students practice creating animation frames on Pixilart.com, while advanced students progress to Adobe Photoshop to develop more sophisticated animation techniques. This tiered approach ensures all students build foundational skills while challenging advanced learners to deepen their technical expertise.
